Melissa Joan Hart, who was just 14 when "Clarissa Explains It All" premiered in 1991, now 35

Follow @cadlymack on Twitter,Melissa Joan Hart, who was just 14 when "Clarissa Explains It All" premiered in 1991, turns 35 today (April 18). Yes, Clarissa Darling first stared straight into the camera to talk about boys and pimples over twenty years ago. Are you feeling old right now? We're feeling old right now.

It's hard to believe that the girl with the kooky dream sequences and valley-girl slang that shaped our childhoods is now old enough to have been married for nearly 8 years and to be the mother of two boys, Mason and Brady, but she is. The woman kept a potty-training diary as part of a Pull-Ups diaper promotion. Time flies when you're watching reruns, huh?

We figured we'd celebrate being ancient by taking a little walk down memory lane with Melissa Joan. In this first clip, 14-year-old Clarissa makes her scrunchie work hard as she describes her family and her burr-on-the-butt dorkpie brother, Ferguson.

When Melissa was 18, she starred in ABC's adaptation of the Archie Comics character "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," which lasted for 7 seasons. Who can forget those terrible special effects and, of course, the talking cat, Salem? We still have a little crush on Sabrina's super-cute boyfriend, Harvey. In the finale, she bailed on her wedding to some other unmemorable dude to ride off with him on his motorcycle. Swoon!

We'd be remiss not to mention "Drive Me Crazy," where she convinced her neighbor -- "Entourage's" Adrian Grenier -- to take her to the prom so she could make her ex-boyfriend jealous. The movie isn't what's important, though... the soundtrack is. Melissa Joan had the unparalleled honor of appearing in Britney Spears' music video for the title song. Legendary!

Now, Melissa can be seen opposite fellow 90s star Joey Lawrence on "Melissa and Joey" on ABC Family, which returns with brand new episodes on June 29 at 8 p.m. EST.
