Free Press ReleaseUpgrades NMAT to have sectional cut offs, difficulty level as CAT:
NMAT 2012, the computer based MBA entrance exam for admissions to the various campuses of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), a deemed university, will be held in a two month test window from October 31, 2011 to January 6, 2012.
The first stage of registration process for the entrance exam is currently underway, and will end on Monday, 10 October 2011. The Late Registration window will open from Tuesday, October 11, 2011 to Thursday, October 20, 2011.
Just like NMAT 2011, NMAT 2012 can also be taken in three attempts — one original attempt and two retakes — and the best of the three scores will be considered by NMIMS for the GD PI shortlisting process.
With just 27 days left for the test phase to begin, MBAUniverse.com spoke to the Admissions Chairperson of NMIMS to find answers to some of the important queries sent to us by NMIMS aspirants.
Dr. (Mrs) Bala Krishnamoorthy, Chairperson Admissions, NMIMS answered the queries of NMIMS aspirants. Read further to read the answers from Dr. Bala:
MBAUniverse.com had also conducted a Live Chat with NMIMS Mumbai student Tamanna Khemani on 4 October, 2011 to provide answers to the NMIMS aspirants on exam preparation. Here are the excerpts from the live chat:
A: About 2 months is good enough time to devote for preparation. There are 3 sections- Quantitative ability, Logical reasoning and verbal ability. Reading comprehension is included in VA. NMAT till last year had 120 questions divided over these 3 sections, whereas CAT had 60 questions. The course for the exam is almost the same.
A: Prepare the important topics well. These are the topics which reappear every year in the sample NMAT papers. Apart from that, just be confident and calm during the paper. And sleep well the night before. All the best!
