Drogba Injured in Chelsea’s Victory

Didier Drogba was taken to hospital with a mild concussion after being knocked unconscious during Chelsea’s 3-1 victory over Norwich in the English Premier League. The injury overshadowed Chelsea’s second victory of the season, which was wrapped up by Juan Mata’s goal during his debut in the 11th minute of stoppage time resulting from Drogba’s injury. ¶ Ashlynn Harris made a diving save on the final penalty kick as the expansion Western New York Flash defeated Philadelphia, 5-4 on penalty kicks, to win the W.P.S. championship game at Sahlen’s Stadium. The game was tied at 1-1 after the 90-minute regulation and two 15-minute overtimes.
