Why Caylee Anthony’s father has not come forward

I am just dumbfounded with grief over the death of Florida’s Little Angel Caylee Anthony. The entire case is a complete miscarriage of justice from the asinine behavior of Casey Anthony’s lawyer, Jose Baez, to the utter incompetence of the Orange County police force who drug their feet for such an exaggerated length of time after tips had been presented by meter reader, Roy Kronk.

The media has pounded Casey’s father, George, and brother, Lee, with allegations of molestation prompted by the claims of sociopath Casey Anthony, who is being tried on capital charges of the premeditated murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony, who disappeared in the summer of 2008. While the jury was subjected to testimony which distracted from the real reasons behind the death of this child as the defense based Casey’s mental state on the alleged abuse, in the background noise there was a voice not heard…that of the now thought to be biological father of Caylee Anthony.

New developments surrounding the answer to why Caylee Anthony’s father has not come forward have been postulated. According to an article in the Boston Herald, Donna MacLean of Rutland, Massachusetts has come forward to shed light on the fact her son, Michael Patrick Duggan, told her he had fathered a little girl while in Florida in addition to naming George and Cindy Anthony as the grandparents. The woman now claiming to be Caylee Anthony’s biological paternal grandmother is offering DNA to prove the fact which may open the door to a potential negligent death lawsuit against Casey Anthony as well. MacLean is reported as having stated “I would never in a million years bring something like this forward if I wasn’t 100 percent positive.”

According to the exclusive interview with The Daily Beast reporter Diane Diamond, Donna MacLean claims Duggan, 24, told her about Caylee just before the car accident in East Falmouth, Massachusetts on October 30, 2007 which claimed his life and that of his sister, Sarah J. Duggan, 18, just months before Caylee would go missing. The Caylee Daily writes that The Daily Beast further states Casey Anthony had told family and friends that Caylee’s father had died in a car accident, a fact which was verified by Cindy and George Anthony, under oath, repeatedly during this criminal trial.

Adding yet another twist to an already convoluted mess of legal anomalies is a new article by Vicki-Ann Downing of Enterprise News which states the relatives of the Marshfield resident dispute the claims that Michael Duggan is the biological father to the murdered tot, Caylee Anthony. Duggan’s great aunt, Mary Duggan Watson, is reported to have stated “I would pay for a DNA test myself right now to call her [Donna MacLean] bluff, but what’s the point? He is dead and the child is dead and it won’t change a thing.” Well, I for one, think it would change A LOT especially if Casey is found guilty and faces the death penalty which will ultimately be appealed. The actual paternity may play heavily on the exposure of fantasy fabrications as related to the allegations of molestation by her father and brother.

What is so sad about this is I wonder if Michael even knew what drama was occurring in the Anthony household to which Caylee was subjected? I wonder if he would have rescued her from the psychopathic chaos which obviously took place behind the closed doors of the Anthony house? Why wasn’t he placed as the father on the birth certificate? This just leads to even more questions related to the life of this angel who fell from Heaven far too soon and into the wrong hands of parenthood.

While we await the outcome of the Casey Anthony murder trial and possible DNA testing to determine if Michael Duggan was Caylee’s biological father, you be the judge.
