New Jersey Restaurant Week

Hundreds of restaurants throughout New Jersey will offer incentives and international flavors to consumers who dine out during New Jersey Restaurant Week, September 18 – 25, 2011. The NJRA’s “Dine in New Jersey --- Taste the World” is a week-long promotion enticing diners to visit local eateries specializing in around-the-world dishes. From American to Moroccan, Indian to Italian, Japanese to Lebanese, Thai to Jamaican, and more --- a true sampling of delicious delicacies give consumers a chance to try something new or enjoy an old favorite. A listing of participants will be available at www.DineOutNJ.com.

A new addition, this year’s NJRA Restaurant Week is highlighting an official cocktail for the week. Created by Mixologist Nicholas Davidson of Gusto Grill in East Brunswick, “The Garden State of Mine” will be featured at many participating restaurants. Laird’s Apple Jack, German Elderflower, peach, cranberry, honey and rosemary are part of this light and fruity flavor.

In addition, some of the participants are collecting donations during the week to support Share Our Strength, a charitable organization that helps to combat hunger among children nationwide. Proceeds raised during NJRA Restaurant Week will be earmarked specifically to NJ-based childhood hunger charities. Last year the New Jersey Restaurant Association was recognized nationally for recruiting the most restaurants in their Dine Out for No Kid Hungry program. Visit www.NJRA.org.
