Songkran 2011, one died hit by a pick-up truck

Pattaya young BuraphaUniversity students 2 years was hit by a pick-up truck and died while he was his motorbike at a U- turn on Sukhumvit road. He was the second on the first two for the seven dangerous day of the year during Songkran Festival Season 2554.

PATTAYA,12th April 2011[PDN]: At 10.00pm. on the 11th April 2011 police captain Chirasak Abphang, the Banglamung duty Police Station., Chonburi, received notification of accident of a pickup vehicle ran into a motorbike caused the bike’s driver life.

The accident happened on Sukhumvit road, at the U-TURN point of Wat mai Chong lom, in front of the Nissan Showroom Center, on the incoming traffic from Naklua, Banglamung, Chonburi, to Pattaya, away from the Police Station. Banglamung, about 2 km. After being notified, the officer rushed to the scene to investigate with the Rescue Foundation.

At the scene they found the dead body of a 20 years old man named Mr. Saksit Samakket, a student [year 2] of Burapa University, resided at54/75 Moo 10, Tambon Nong Prue, He was suffering with broken head and neck, lying in the middle of the road. A Red – Black Yamaha motorbike[ Spark] Registration Number 997 Chonburi, which belonged to the dead person. He was crash by a black truck [ Isuzu D Max] registration number 6754 which had been park nearby with a big damage on it’s front.The truck’s drivers known as Mr. Tee- Thawat Siri Paru,[36], residing at 33 Moo 3, Pru Yai, Muang, Nakhon Ratchasima who had been standing nearby in the shocking state and wait for the police.

Mr. Tee- Thawat Siri Paru explained that he was driving on his own to pick up his reletives to go back home in up country for the Songkran festival holiday. He said he was driving at normal speed. He saw the man on the motorbike was turning from the U-TURN point, to which he has sent signals hoot. To warn the victim not to cut in front of his truck, but the man did not stop. So the truck smashed into the motorbike and the victim was thrown off the bike and fell on the road, he died instantly.

Initially, the Police have reviewed the incident and filed detailed records. The deceased body was sent to Banglamung Hospital kept waiting to let relatives know The pick up driver was taken to the police station, he will be investigated and if he was found guilty he will be charged of careless driving.
