Tiki Barber is un-retiring

“Barber has alerted the NFL that he plans to come out of retirement and play in the 2011 season.” Perhaps this is some sort of negotiating ploy by either the owners or players association. “Well, if you don’t meet our demands, we’ll bring back Tiki Barber!” I’m still trying to figure out which side is using the Tiki chip. Barber’s divorce and left him broke and his bright television career is pretty dim right now so I guess he could be serious. Somebody check to see if this is part of a VH1 reality show. (SI.com)

Once you retire from the league you’re still part of the player’s union, right? I was thinking he could play during the lockout (assuming the league goes with replacement players) if he was no longer in the union.
