Sweet Valley High:The Teen Now Grown-Up

If you're a girl who grew up in the '80s or '90s, chances are you read at least one book in the 'Sweet Valley High' series. The young adult novels chronicled the drama surrounding the Wakefield twins.

Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield, blond teens with 'heart-shaped' faces and 'perfect size six' figures, are back this month and all grown-up.

'Sweet Valley Confidential' picks up the story 10 years after high school when now-27-year-old Elizabeth discovers that longtime boyfriend Todd--yes, her high school love--had an affair with Jessica. Devastated, Elizabeth flees Sweet Valley to rediscover herself in New York City.

Can the teen series attract a grown-up audience? Author Francine Pascal is betting on her original readers, now adults, wanting to know whatever happened to their favorite 'Sweet Valley' characters.
