If you're thinking your invitation to the April 29 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is just held up in the mail because of halted mail on President's Day, please forgive us for breaking this regrettable news. You're not invited.
Neither are the Obamas or Sarah Ferguson, so don't feel too badly. But who is? Here's a quick rundown of who will be among the 1,9000 invitees at Westminster Abbey when vows are exchanged next month.
Since William is second in line for the throne, this isn't technically a state affair. This explains why high-profile leaders and allies of the UK (including the Obamas and France's Nicolas and Carla Sarkozy) are off the list.
As for celebrities, multiple sources confirm that Victoria and David Beckham will be in attendance. Sir Elton John, a close friend of William's late mother Diana, is also expected.
There are of course the less-familiar British names which will be in attendance. The Telegraph reports that TV presenter Ben Fogle and "Absolutely Fabulous" star Joanna Lumley are both on board.
And please take this with a grain of salt, but The Hollywood Reporter says that Kanye West received an invite. (I'm sorry Will and Kate, but Charles and Diana had one of the best royal weddings of all time!)
So, how would an "alley" attend a wedding anyway? :-) Yeah, doesn't ANYone spellcheck this stuff? Or is it the thought that counts.....
