Here's what Austin Rivers did last night

By Matt Norlander

Goodman and Parrish are off in other parts of the country right now, so they couldn't be at the Greater NC Pro-Am last night, where No. 1-rated 2011 Duke-bound recruit Austin Rivers put on a show. Fortunately, video has already surfaced this morning, courtesy of HoopMixTape.com.

Rivers had three crowd-wowing dunks and generally just took the gym over. An excerpt below. The second dunk is "over" Rasheed Wallace, who looks more concerned with getting out of the way and finding the nearest burrito than he does getting a damn hand up.

Look at that defense! That's the Pro-Am for you.

No denying Rivers' ridiculous talent, though. The scary part is, most think he's better than Kyrie Irving. Right now, without having played a game at Duke, he's already considered a top-10 pick in what will be an absolutely loaded 2012 draft. If you want a breezy idea and painted picture about what it was like last night, Chris Littmann gives a nice description here. The Charlotte Observer also has a nice story on Jerry Stackhouse, who is one of the creators of the Greater NC Pro-Am.source
