SINGAPORE: Former Singapore actor Joshua Ang has become embroiled in a legal tussle with Citispa CEO Gerald Teo who claims that Ang had defamed him.

"I do not intend to have my case tried by the media as I believe that that would be improper," said Teo in a statement to channelnewsasia.com.

"I can only add that I had tried to resolve matters amicably but negotiations broke down because Mr Ang does not appear to want to negotiate sincerely."

As for Ang, he too declined to speak in detail about the dispute, only saying that he is still open to settling the matter privately even though Wednesday's talks had failed.

"While I have every intention of defending this lawsuit vigorously, I remain open to an out-of-Court settlement provided that it is fair," said the 22-year-old in a statement.
