Alex Honnold was born in Sacramento, California. He started climbing when he was 11 years old. At the age 19 old, Alex Honnold drooped out of UC Berkeley, where he was engineering student, and devoted all his time to climbing. He prefers big walls and sport climbing and enjoys any climb. Alex Honnold was awarded the ‘Golden Piton’ for his climbing achievements.
