Today is 29 September, 2011 and it is marked as the World Heart Day. This is the 11th year since its inception. World Heart Day is created on 2000 to inform the people around the globe that heart disease and stroke are the world’s leading cause of death. The percentage of these unfortunate death due to heart disease and stroke could be avoided if the main risk factors, tobacco, unhealthy diet and physical inactivity, are controlled.Theme of World Heart Day 2011 is One World, One Home, One Heart.
