Machine Gun Kelly organized a flash mob of his fans via Twitter

6:28 p.m. EDT, August 21, 2011STRONGSVILLE, Ohio— Local rapper Machine Gun Kelly allegedly organized a flash mob of his fans at the South Park Mall in Strongsville via Twitter.

On Saturday he tweeted: "Today we flash mob NO MATTER WHAT! 5pm at SouthPark mall in the food court, wear disguises, dont move to you hear 'Cleveland' play then RAGE!" [sic]

Strongsville Police said mall management had asked Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name in Colson Baker, not to stand on a table -- but he did.

They were taken to the Strongsville Police Department but police said they were not booked into jail, instead given a citation for disorderly conduct and released.

After the rapper was gone, hundreds of mostly suburbanite-looking teens and young people ran though the mall and some of the stores screaming.

The rapper had agreed through his manager to do an interview with FOX 8 News on Sunday, but a publicity agent in New York City called and canceled the interview, saying that Machine Gun Kelly will not be doing any interviews at this time, they are speaking with their legal team, and they are glad no one was hurt.

"I think we showed the power of our movement, man," Machine Gun Kelly said on a video he posted on his YouTube page, where he talks about the flash mob after it was over.

"[It was] the first appearance we've done in Ohio, like, you know, since we announced a major label deal and it was kind of a chance to to show all the kids that we really care about them, and that we're still here, and we're still grounded, and we're gonna be Ohio boys and Cleveland boys until we're 6-feet under," he said.

He also wrote on Twitter: "If having fun with my fans and bringin the rage back to my hometown means I have to be arrested...then keep pullin the cuffs out." [sic]
