US Postal Service is eyeing four Hawaii post offices

HONOLULU - The U.S. Postal Service is eyeing four Hawaii post offices that could close as the agency looks at ways to save money.

The Hawaii locations are on a list released Tuesday of 3,700 locations the postal service is reviewing for possible closure.

Coming under review doesn't necessarily mean an office will close.

The two Oahu locations under review are on Nuuanu Avenue in Honolulu and Kamokila Boulevard in Kapolei. Two other two on the list are the Hanamaulu office on Kauai and the Kalaupapa office on Molokai.

The postal service says as more customers conduct postal transactions online, the need for retail offices diminishes.
