Follow this company on Thursday launched its newest app, Starbucks for iPhone, which combines two iPhone apps — My Starbucks and Starbucks Card Mobile — that currently were in use for the popular Apple Inc. Apple Inc.
The new app adds an extra perk — the ability to send Starbucks gift cards via your mobile device, using either your phone or Facebook contacts.
Until now, the Starbucks Card eGift feature was only available through Starbucks.com, but the coffee company says many of its customers have been asking for one, streamlined app.
“With the Starbucks for iPhone App we had the opportunity to bring together a collection of great features,” Adam Brotman, vice president and general manager of Starbucks Coffee Company’s digital ventures, said in a statement.
With Starbucks for iPhone, users can pay for their purchases at the counter through their phones, reload their Starbucks cards, as well as access food and beverage nutrition information and many of the other options previously found in My Starbucks and Starbucks Card Mobile.
