Plano-based Pizza Hut Corp . is prepping to review its media agency of choice according to a company statement.
"In an effort to ensure that we have the most relevant, efficient and influential media strategy in place, we are conducting a review of media agencies," said Kurt Kane, chief marketing officer at Pizza Hut. "MEC, our trusted partner for more than a decade, will be invited to participate. We expect the review and go-forward plan to be in place early this fall."
Follow this company , for more than 10 years. According to an article in Ad Age, Pizza Hut spent $217 million in advertising in 2010, up 9.7 percent from the previous year.
Dallas-based The Richards Group will not participate in the media review because it is a media only review and not full service, said Jodi Phillip, adding that it interferes with the company's Chick-fil-A account.
Pizza Hut is owned by Yum! Brands Inc. Yum! saw total revenues grow 3.4 percent for the quarter ending March 19, compared to the same quarter the previous year.
