Michael "Wurzel" Burston, a guitarist with metal gods Motorhead, died Saturday of heart disease, The Guardian reports. He was 61. Burston was a member of the hard-cranking band from 1984 through 1995. As the Guardian obituary notes, after the band's iconic frontman Lemmy Kilmister, Burston was as much as anyone the face of Motorhead, known for rapid-fire guitar playing and for his regular-guy stage presence. After he left Motorhead, Burston made guest appearances with such metal bands as Warhead, and but generally didn't pursue a solo career. He had recently formed a new band, Leader of Down.
