Magicka Game has been out for quite some time

Magicka has been out for quite some time, but the game is still as fun as ever. While its launch window woes included almost daily patches to get the game running, it has been slightly longer since the game received an update. Today the game has received a huge update adding, fixing and tweaking over 70 items.

The biggest piece of the update is the least interesting to co-op gamers and that's a player versus player mode. While versus isn't our thing a nice side effect of adding this was a completely revamped server browser and lobby system that should make it easier to jump into any game type. There's also several balance tweaks to spells and weapons, network optimization for smoother online play, and several spells have been "fixed" for co-op.

The launch of the PvP mode also brings us a brand new live action Magicka video from Arrowhead games, one that spoofs Reservoir Dogs. Yes...Reservoir Dogs.

Characters and items can in rare cases fall through the level collision mesh, this is due to lag or poor framerate. Many general network improvements and general optimization will reduce this risk.
