The 2011 summer concerts will rock on until July 24. The musical affair will feature local and international artists such as Elva Hsiao, MATZKA, Show Lo (???), Magic Power, bii, dreamgirls and finally on the last day, the famed Irish dancing troupe "Spirit of the Dance." All performances are free, to the audience and music lover's delight. Every night of concert will end in a spectacular fireworks show.Aside from the dazzling free concerts, a "Mambo Fish Festival" is also in store starting July 18. Featuring creative dishes combing Mambo fish and mochi, fish-inspired dance performances, games and lucky raffles, the fish fest will provide visitors with a new taste of Hualien.
Based on the popularity and positive feedback from the carnival last year, Fu, who was twice named the "five-star magistrate" by Global Views Magazine, has rolled out yet another exciting event.
Fu said his hope was to attract over millions of visitors to Hualien and expose for the more idiosyncratic aspects of the east coast to further establish the region as a tourist destination on the global stage.
