Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and the Calgary-born, Victoria, B.C.-raised Monteith will all be written out of the show for good, the show's creator and writer Ryan Murphy has told the Hollywood Reporter."You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year,'' Murphy said on Wednesday. ``We made that decision and I involved Chris and Lea and they thought that was a good idea. They both trust the writing and trust me and felt that it would be great to have an open and closed experience for them to go out while they were on top.
The announcement was not unexpected, as Murphy has previously indicated the show's characters would graduate from the school and series.
The three Glee regulars might not be the only characters written out after Season 3, but Murphy told the Reporter that viewers will find out who will stay and who will graduate on the Sept. 20 season premiere.
In the wake of the news, Michele responded to her heartbroken fans on Twitter, insisting she is fine with Murphy's decision and is excited for the future. Click Here!
