Wild 94.9 and Live Nation have just announced the return of the West Coast’s largest comedy show, Wild 94.9’s Comedy Jam 2011. Currently in its 12th year, Comedy Jam has become one of the largest comedy shows in the country and brings an all star line up of comedians for one night only to the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. This year’s Comedy Jam features its biggest lineup to date with performances by Katt Williams, Dave Chappelle, Chris Tucker, Gabriel Iglesias, Jo Koy, Rick Gutierrez and more acts still to be announced. Since the first Comedy Jam in 2000, the Wild 94.9 Comedy Jam has welcomed comedians such as Cedric the Entertainer, George Lopez, Jamie Foxx, Joe Rogan, Cheech & Chong, Dave Chappelle, Tommy Davidson, Tracy Morgan and a host of other stars. Over 200,000 people have been in attendance over the 12 year span.

The show will take place on Saturday, August 13th at 7 PM. Tickets for Comedy Jam are $105.50, $75.50 and $55.50 for reserved seats and $34.50 for general admission lawn plus applicable fees. Special four packs of lawn tickets are available for $104.00. Tickets are on sale Friday, July 8th at 10am at Livenation.com, Ticketmaster outlets or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

Katt Williams last performed at the Comedy Jam in 2008, which he then followed up with his “It’s Pimpin’ Pimpin’” tour selling out theatres and arenas in every major market across the country. Inspired by greats like Richard Pryor, Donn Knotts, Eddie Murphy and George Carlin, Williams greatest thrill is connecting with an audience. “It’s the best I ever feel,” he explains. “Applause is my drug of choice.”

After 6 years, Dave Chappelle makes his triumphant return to the Comedy Jam stage. Chappelle gained fame and success on his own terms, and has become especially popular with young audiences who appreciate his sly social commentary and aggressively satiric style. He became widely known for his popular sketch comedy television series, Chappelle's Show, which ran until 2006 and Comedy Central ranked him forty-third in its list of the 100 greatest stand-up comedians.

This year marks the first time Chris Tucker will take the Comedy Jam stage marking his return to his stand-up roots. Early in his career as a standup comedian Tucker gained a reputation as one of the leading comics on the Los Angeles circuit and was invited to participate in hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons’ Def Comedy All-Star Jam on HBO. As an actor, high energy Tucker paired up with one of rap’s greatest, Ice Cube, in the 1995 cult classic, Friday, but it wasn’t until the 1998 blockbuster hit Rush Hour that Tucker amassed a global following that catapulted him to international stardom.

Gabriel Iglesias has been a main stay over the years at the Comedy Jam and is described as unbelievably funny, electrifying, and a gifted performer who has the ability to consistently deliver a uniquely hilarious comedy experience – from start to finish - in every venue he performs in. His “I’m Not Fat…I’m Fluffy” DVD has gone over TRIPLE PLATINUM status and features the comedian's perfect blend of spot-on voice skills and an uncanny knack for hilarious storytelling.

Jo Koy will be returning to the Comedy Jam for his 2nd appearance. He can be seen weekly as a regular guest on E!’s “Chelsea Lately” and is poised for even more success with his role in the upcoming NBC comedy pilot “Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea”, based on the autobiographical book of the same name by Chelsea Handler.
