Barry Blackston, the owner of Nacho Mama's and a co-owner of Still Water Tap Room, says that he sold Blue Sky Kitchen, at 990 Broad St., last week to another downtown restaurant owner.

Barry Blackston, also the owner of Nacho Mama's and a co-owner Still Water Tap Room, said he sold Blue Sky Kitchen, at 990 Broad St., last week to fellow downtown restaurant owner Sae Shin.
"I just had a new child about five weeks ago, and I just really wanted to simplify and have time to enjoy my kids," Blackston said. "I think it will be a good fit. Sae is already down here. He has two other restaurants, and I think he'll do a good job with it. I wanted someone who cared about downtown and preferably was already invested in downtown, so it worked out well."
Shin, a co-owner of 1102 Bar & Grill and Soy Noodle House on Broad Street, said he is planning to extend Blue Sky Kitchen's hours to include dinner.
He will keep the menu the same and is cross-training some of his staffers at his other two restaurants to assist with the extended hours at Blue Sky Kitchen, which will start in a few weeks.
"I've got a great manager and staff over there already, so it pretty much runs on its own. Barry, he's done a great job, and I just want to continue Blue Sky," Shin said.
Shin said that he doesn't plan to make many changes, only a few minor things such as adding a new touch screen system to make the servers' jobs easier, he said.
