Bijan Pakzad suffered a stroke Thursday night and died today in Los Angeles

Jimmy Delshad, former two-time mayor of Beverly Hills, confirmed the news via Twitter: "It is with sadness in my heart that I share the terrible news of Bijan passing away. May he rest in peace."

Bijan was a legend in the fashion and perfume biz and designed clothes for movie stars and world leaders. His Rodeo Drive boutique is known as the most expensive store in the world.

my condolences, Iranian American society lost a true legend, and artist who pictured a positive image for Iranian residing at USA. God bless his sole, he will be missed.

LEONARD, you are obviously just a jealous loser. It sounds like you werent able to make it in Beverly hills yourself, but your parents might have. You seem to be very jealous of people who were born in another country and have come to the US and to the heart of Beverly Hills and have really made something of them self. I feel sorry for you.

Not just a rich talented man but a loving human being. To those who post careless stupidly happy comments about his or anyone dying ...start with the man (woman) in the mirror and see your own self first!!

I just can't believe this. Too sad. Rodeo drive will not be the same. He was a remarkable person and character. He is truly one of a kind and no one can replace him. Roheshon shaad...may he rest in peace.

Perhaps one of the best known Iranian-American in the fashion world....RIP Mr. Pakzad. Thanks for making the Iranian-American image a better one. Ba Dorood.
