A self-confessed band geek in high school, Ms Ang, 31, believes in the power and promise of young people to positively impact society.
Inspired by the student activism she witnessed while studying at the University of New South Wales, Ms Ang started Syinc, a Singapore-based non-profit organisation, hoping to connect like-minded young people to seek innovative solutions for social change.
Overwhelmed and humbled by her win, Ms Ang said: "At the most immediate level, it's the visibility. So, by having more publicity and visibility around Syinc, I think that would help us reach out better to the different young people and schools and organisations that we work with. That opens up a lot of doors."
