Susan Lucci visited 'Good Morning America' to address the rumors.

A week ago, TV Squad reported that ABC was considering canceling the long-running soap opera, 'All My Children.' Today, 'AMC' star Susan Lucci visited 'Good Morning America' to address the rumors.

"We'll see, as long as we have these loyal, passionate fans in our corner," she said, "including Oprah, who had us on just a few weeks ago." She also mentioned that it was expensive to move the show from New York to Los Angeles, which she saw as a vote of confidence. "And we just received a letter from the vice president in charge of finance congratulating us on what great shape we're in."

While that sounds great, the ratings tell another story. According to Deadline, the soap came in last in the key demographic of women 18–49. It was seen by 463,000 viewers in that demo, down 34 percent compared to last year. The series also came in last in total viewers, grabbing 2.32 million. 'One Life to Live' had 2.36 million during the week of March 7.

Maybe Oprah should buy All my Children. The show stinks. Ryan,Kendal and Greenlee have brought the show DOWN. who can watch those self absorbed egomaniacs. Reva ruined Guiding Light and Rachel ruined Another World, those 3 have ruined AMC..Time to turn out the lights.

Susie will always have HSN. I am sure 1 of the remaining soaps will hire her talentless butt to get viewers to switch over. Isn't tat the lame game going on w/ these tired soaps? She has the acting skills of a vanna white.

s son played in a few soap operas when he lived in NYC. He said of all the stars he played on the shows, that Susan Lucci was the worse. She treated the other actors like crap. Also she is stuck on hersel. grrr ,can't stand her at all. He did say that Reva , on the Guiding Light was very friendly and helpful.

All Soap Hatters out there need to to shut up.Their are only 6 soaps left.Us fans need to step up and support are soaps.In the past 10 years we have lost AW,RH,Loving,The City,Generations,Sunset Beach,SB,Port Charles,ATWT and GL.So I for one am gladd that AMC was saved.Keep up the great work to everyone who works at the soaps both the cast and crews are just as important as the people who work in Primetime.I just hope that there are some soaps left for when my daughter grows up.

I love AMC. I just think they need new and exciting story lines. The current story lines are moving too slow so its making it boring. I hope it doesnt get cancelled!!!

It's only crap to some. Yes, I don't like Greenlee with Ryan anymore, but the rest of the show is fabulous,and my favorite soap. They aren't redundant like all the rest of them. I love the way they are taking Kendall, but she is an amazing actress. I love the show, please don't take it away. Too many people have watched it since its inception and remember Tara and Philip and how Tad was adopted. Why take history from us because we are "old" actually we have the money, so get ads that appeal to us.

The viewers are out there for sure and are vocal. If the writing were to improve, and the pace would quicken, I am sure the ratings would improve, but if not, even the star power of Ms Lucci can't save it. Why don't the executives ever address the poor writing and what they can do to change it? It's unanimous that everyone sees the writing as the problem with this show.

The pace of the show is way off and some of the story lines are terrible. I do like the new Latino mix, which is very good for the show. Tad need to make love to his new wife. I have some great ideas but who the hell is going to listen to me.
