Invisalign does work. the success depends on each individual case like any other form of treatment. During treatment you will have to wear a clear aligner 22 hours a day, taking it off only to eat and brush. After treatment, you will have to wear your retainers all the time for the first year or so. After that, it will taper down to only nights and then alternate nights. Eventually trying it on every few days and wearing it only if it feels tight. so you wont have to worry about wearing it the rest of your life. Also, the aligners and retainers are both made of clear plastic. It really isnt that bad.Maticulous attention to oral hygiene is important esp for invisalign. Of another option, if you cant comply with the retention protocol, is getting a permanent retainer fixed to the back of your front teeth.
