The Hobbit Movie has began filming today in New Zealand
The Hobbit has (finally) began filming! The highly anticipated prequel to The Lord of the Rings trilogy, began filming today in New Zealand, Warner Brothers announced on Monday.
The Hobbit, is a $500 million, two-movie project based on J.R.R Tolkien’s novel. In a statement, Warner Brothers said that the “Hobbit” movies “will be shot consecutively in digital 3-D using the latest camera and stereo technology” and that filming “will take place at Stone Street Studios, Wellington, and on location around New Zealand.”
