Celebrity Shania Twain Get Her Own Reality Show

Shania Twain is the latest celebrity to get her own reality show, “Why Not?” which debuts on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network, on May 8th.A little unexpected, but great news for Shania Twain fans everywhere!

The reality show chronicles Shania Twain’s “emotional journey from heartbreak back to the top.” From her split with Mutt Lange, to her new life with new husband, Frederic.

“Viewers will follow Twain as she begins her climb back to the top through a personal journey filled with risk, revelations and unexpected adventures. In the series, Twain sets out on a tour of healing, sharing and rediscovering her voice. She returns to her childhood home in Timmins, Northern Ontario, Canada with her sister, Carrie Ann, to revisit the memories of their adolescence and their parents shocking death.”

“She then continues on her journey with her bandmates and closest confidants as she steps out of her comfort zone on a cross-country adventure. Along the way, Twain meets with vocal doctors and coaches, as well as a grief counselor to work through the emotional connection of her vocal restrictions. She also meets with people and families that have experienced similar hardships in their lives, and has intimate one-on-one conversations with experts in the music industry including Gladys Knight, Lionel Richie and David Foster, who provide guidance and inspiration as she attempts to reclaim her voice.”

After Shania’s nasty split from Mutt, we haven’t seen much of the singer in the public eye and she has kept a very low profile. Slowly she has shared parts of her life with the media, and as she heals, she shares more.

Ironically, Shania Twain married Frederic Thiebaud, the ex-husband of the woman who her husband cheated on her with . . . and he is a doll. Compared to Mutt Lange’s old frizzy arse, major upgrade. Who cares that Mutt is some big producer? Her new man is hot.

Shania Twain has been through a lot in life and she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out. This will be one docu-reality show I will indeed be watching.
