Wear Red Day on 4th Feb! show support in the fight against heart disease

It's Wear Red Day on Friday! The American Heart Association started the tradition of "Go Red" in 2004 as a way to show support in the fight against heart disease. Since then, it's become a yearly event that continues to grow.

Aside from regular folks, some companies across the country have jumped on the bandwagon of Wear Red Day. The Milwaukee Art Museum, the Marquette Interchange, and the Overture Center in Madison will all be lit up in red come Feburary 4th.

It's no surprise that heart disease is a serious health issue. It's the number one killer of women. It kills more women than all forms of cancer combined.

“We know that this is a big weekend for the Green Bay Packers; we just ask that you throw on a red accessory or a red dress pin or something to signify that you support National Wear Red Day and educating others about preventing heart disease.”
