Lopping off signature locks seems to be the cool thing to do in Hollywood these days. In the name of charity, Justin Bieber ditched his shaggy mane on Monday in favor of a more aerodynamic hairdo. And now comes news that Jennifer Aniston has shorn her famously long tresses, opting for a choppy, chin-length bob.Aniston debuted the new 'do in Madrid, Spain, where she is currently promoting Just Go With It, her romantic comedy costarring Adam Sandler. She just turned 41 on Feb. 11, so maybe it was a belated birthday treat for herself?
Though it's about the same length as "The Rachel" (the iconic '90s haircut named for Aniston's Friends alter ego), Aniston's new 'do otherwise bears very little resemblance to that trend-setting cut. And perhaps that's a good thing. After all, Jen recently came out and dissed the layered coif that spawned a million "Rachel" copycats, calling it "the ugliest haircut I've ever seen."
While Aniston's adoring fans may beg to differ with her assessment of "The Rachel," it remains to be seen whether the actress' latest hair experiment will launch a similar craze.
