Fans like to accuse Tom Brady of being a whiner when the New England Patriots don't win. That reputation is not going to go away anytime soon. In fact, Gisele Bundchen, his wife, has made things worse by throwing the team's wide receivers under the bus.Mrs. Brady was walking out of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday night after her husband's Hail Mary pass fell incomplete. There were some New York Giants fans who began shouting to her that Eli Manning owns her husband.
Obviously, she was frustrated by the insults and the result of the game, so she decided to vent her frustration to her entourage while waiting for the elevator. And in today's world, where everyone has a camera, the entire thing was captured for the world to see.
You have to listen closely, but she says that it is impossible for her husband to throw the ball and catch the ball. Her language is a little more colorful than mine, but the point is well made.
At the risk of sounding like a Gisele apologist, she does have a point. There were two passes in the fourth quarter that should have been caught. Wes Welker and Deion Branch just couldn't bring the ball into their chest for one reason or another.
The Welker drop is forgivable because he had to turn his body back to the ball and leap to get it. That is a pass he catches 98 times out of 100, this just happened to be one of the rare instances when it didn't happen.
Branch just had alligator arms on the pass he dropped. He has no excuse whatsoever. He felt the pressure coming in on him, and he panicked.
The good news for Brady is he doesn't have to worry about answering questions now because his wife will be the focus of the game for her comments. It might not be a situation that either of them are happy with, but such is the risk when you talk trash around people in today's world.source
