Kim Jong-il Died

A video has been released showing a woman wearing traditional North Korean dress in tears announcing the death of Kim Jong-il to North Korea.

"It is the biggest loss for the party ... and it is our people and nation's biggest sadness," she said, according to the Associated Press.

Kim Jong-il reportedly passed away in Pyongyang at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, according to North Korea's state news agency.

The White House released a statement on the North Korean leader's death: "The President has been notified, and we are in close touch with our allies in South Korea and Japan."source
