The announcement at the Firebirds' celebration dinner at the Gabba on Friday night capped an outstanding week for Geitz.
She also joined Firebirds captain Lauren Nourse and teammates Natalie Medhurst and Amy Steel in a 22-strong Australian squad vying for August Test berths against Jamaica and New Zealand and a place in the Commonwealth Games team in October.
Geitz, 23, has represented Australia seven times at senior level.
For the second year running, team vice-captain Clare McMeniman's peers voted her their Players' Player.
Keirra Trompf's energy on and off the court earned her the Firebirds Spirit Award, an honour she also received in 2008.
Wing defence Trompf regularly loses her voice cheering her teammates on.
Other members of the Firebirds squad were recognised for their achievements.
They included Medhurst and Nourse for earning 100 Commonwealth Bank Trophy and ANZ Championship caps, and McMeniman with 50 Firebirds caps.
Jacqui Russell and Laura Scherian were applauded for making their Firebirds debuts.
The Player of the Year and Spirit Award were voted for by coaches and team management, while the players based their award on performance and leadership.source
