The Amazing Spider Man

Hey Spidey fans! For those looking for more Andrew Garfield-as-Spider-Man goodness, Entertainment Weekly has got you covered. In addition to the fancy cover photo that hit the Interwebs yesterday, there is now a gallery posted at EW.com full of 15 fresh new images.

The bulk of new pics are Peter Parker and Spider-Man centric. There are full-length shots of the updated Spidey costume which, to me, looks like it might have the same texture as a basketball, a close-up of the new webslingers, various shots of Garfield in action poses, using his newly-acquired powers to hang upside down/attach to the roof of a subway car, jump over a tall basketball player, holding the school bully up against a locker, etc.

Other sneak peeks include a first look at Rhys Ifans as Doc Conners pre-Lizard. He is in a lab coat sitting at his desk and looks to be filming a video blog or message of some kind. It is likely a project that is both dangerous and about to go awry.

There are two photos of Sally Field and Martin Sheen as Aunt May and Uncle Ben, which bring a nice warm fuzzy sense of family to the table. At the risk of alienating all the dudes here, my personal favorite is a steamy shot of Stone and Garfield in either Gwen or Peter's bedroom, looking like they're about to smooch. Parker/Spider-Man has been beaten up and is being tended to by a worried-looking Stacey. It is also worth noting, for my fellow female fans out there, that Garfield is shirtless in this pic and looks quite fit.
