Though it's unclear whether Anthony will testify, jurors have seen and heard from her in videos and other recordings taken in the weeks before and after her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie, was reported missing.
In openings, prosecutors described the duct tape as the murder weapon. Since then, jurors have seen a series of photos depicting the duct tape and Caylee's tiny skull. The first showed the skull as it was discovered in the woods near the Anthony family home -- half-covered in debris, with silver duct tape and matted hair.
Later photos showed the lower jaw was still attached -- which an expert testified is rare unless something, such as tape, held it there.
The jury also watched a video animation, despite the defense team's objections, that showed a picture of Caylee with her mother, and then images of her skull and a superimposed single strip of duct tape covering her nose and mouth. As the skull and tape became more prominent in the presentation, the image of Caylee faded.
Several people -- including criminal-justice professionals and laymen -- testified about the unique stench that came from Anthony's Pontiac Sunfire, a smell numerous people associated with decomposing humans.
George Anthony, who was once a homicide detective in Ohio, told investigators he feared the smell of rotting flesh in the car was coming from his daughter or granddaughter.
Orange County Deputy Jason Forgey, whose K-9 partner, Gerus, is trained to detect human decomposition, said the smell of death, which he is familiar with, was obvious from Anthony's car. "I smelled it. Clear as day," he said.
Though jurors have not heard directly from Casey Anthony, they have heard her voice through telephone records and seen her in jailhouse visitation videos.
In her first phone call home, made just hours after she was arrested, Casey Anthony seemed more concerned about getting her boyfriend's phone number than finding her missing daughter.
When asked why she was so calm when everyone else in the family was distraught about Caylee's disappearance, Casey Anthony said, "Nobody in my family is on my side
that's all they care about right now, finding Caylee."
Jailhouse videos also show Casey Anthony praising George Anthony for being a good father and grandfather. Anthony tells him: "Dad, you were the best father and grandfather
don't think otherwise for a second 'cause I won't let you."
During one visit, Anthony grew annoyed and threw a tantrum when her parents continued to question her about where her missing daughter could be located.
