Paula Abdul in "X Factor"

The “X Factor” on this side of the pond is introducing Steve Jones as the co-host of this new show. While not know very well in the States, he is well known with the TV viewers in the UK, according to EW. He will host the "X Factor" with Nicole Scherzinger, from the “Pussy Cat Dolls.” Paula Abdul was also announced as one of the "X Factor" judges this morning, according to Fox News live.

Jones shares the same name with Steve Jones from the “Sex Pistols” but they are not one in the same. This Steve Jones is a native of Rhondda, Glamorgan, Wales. His career has been in modeling and he has done his fair share of TV hosting gigs in the UK. Soon he will be well known in the US with his new gig on "X Factor:" This is due to be a hit, anything Simon Cowell touches turns to gold!

Jones' credits include the late-night series "Transmission," the music show "Carling Live 24," seven years on the popular kids weekend morning entertainment show "T4," two installments of "Let's Dance for Comic Relief" and the special "Guinness World Records Smashed." .

Jones’ up and coming shows in the UK includes hosting "Drop Zone," "Wedding Crashers" and "101 Ways to Leave a Gameshow," as well as teaming up with his brothers in "Jones Brothers Amazon Adventure." This is one busy guy!

Connecticut fans of talent competition shows like “American Idol” will be happy to know that the “X Factor,” will be shown on Connecticut’s Fox channel.
