BURLINGTON, N.J.
Burlington Coat Factory said revenue at stores open at least a year rose 0.5 percent for the quarter that ended April 30.
CEO Tom Kingsbury said he was pleased with the results, noting that the increase came on top of a 3.3 percent increase in the same quarter a year ago.
The measurement of revenue in stores open at least a year is a key indicator of a company's health because it excludes newly opened or closed stores.
The company's net revenue, which does include that impact, rose 4 percent to $929 million in the first quarter.
