Iggy Pop was, is and will always be a rock legend. So the guy's a little tired. And a little tan. Give him a break.
In an interview with the Independent newspaper, Stooges frontman and rock and roll legend Iggy Pop waxed lyrically on the relationship between music and image:
"Image is very, very important, in music it always was. However, the transmission has become more democratic, because of digital communication, so if you have a nice flashy shirt, or your ass-crack shows, you can get the message across without as much corporate censorship."
Iggy famously slipped into a pair of transparent pants for a performance on UK TV show The White Room in 1997. "There they were in a shop, and I just thought they would look good – and they did, frankly."
New members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Iggy And The Stooges will tour this summer in support of the re-release of their classic album Raw Power.
