Brittany Murphy shocked the real estate world when she left her $7.25 million dollar home to her mother rather than her husband. Simon Monjack, a british screenwriter, was apparently aware that Murphy's mother was to receive the estate, and is okay with the decision. The originally handwritten will left everything to Sharon Murphy, but was redrafted more formally after her marriage, even though nothing changed.

According to an online source, Brittany Spears used to own the million dollar dwelling in the Hollywood Hills. The rising glen property was sold to Brittany Murphy in 2003 for S3.85 million. The Mediterranean style house is typical of Hollywood's luxurious estates with 8,000 square feet and 1.29 acres. The house is at the end of a long private drive in Beverly Hills.

The reports are conflicting on how much the house is worth and how much Sharon is selling it for. She plans to move New York once the property has closed with a new owner. The stucco home is surrounded by trees and beautiful landscaping. Large windows encompass most of the visible walls, and a pool, lounge area and spacious garage are present as well.

The actress, born in 1977, made it big when she starred in the film, Clueless with Alicia Silverstone, in 1995. The movie revolutionized how teenagers in the nineties talked and dressed. She's a Georgia Peach but grew up the Garden State of New Jersey. Her family later moved with her to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
