Where Was The Best Tax Evader Country Hasan Ali?

Hasan Ali:The Supreme Court on Thursday asked the central government to tell him where was the best tax evader country Hasan Ali, who secrete large amounts of money in banks in Switzerland and other countries.

Acting on the PIL filed by eminent lawyer Ram Jethmalanai and others, the court stated that the Government was asked the same questions the last time as well.

Meanwhile, the government in response to the statements of the Supreme Court assured the court that it would soon disclose the names of persons who stashed money in foreign banks. This happened after the case was registered against them.

The Government also informed the court that the order was issued by the authorities in Hong Kong, Singapore, UAE, USA and UK in black money.

Ali, who owns the stud farms, among other enterprises, is suspected in a parked eight billion dollars from UBS AG, Bank of Switzerland, and was searched by the IT department in January 2007.

Centre on Wednesday filed an affidavit before the apex court in connection with the case and pledged to take several measures to obtain it.

The Government also reported apex court that it had completed negotiations on the Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA) with the ten countries where the money is believed to have been hidden.

Ten countries are the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, the Isle of Man, Cayman Islands, the British island of Jersey, Monaco, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Argentina and the Marshall Islands.

Government has previously argued that it had identified 26 citizens who had parked their ill-gotten wealth abroad, shown by the German Government in Liechtenstein bank there, but avoided the name of the public.

Britain has 390 billion dollars in black money in Russia 470 billion dollars and India topped the list with nearly 1.5 trillion dollars. (ANI)
